A little bit of history. . .
In 1993, Steve McDonald was doing contracting work in Minnesota for none other than the owner of the Dura Supreme cabinet company. After a job well done, Dura Supreme approached Steve with a proposal to represent the company in Michigan. Steve then called up his sister, Sue, who worked for Diamond Vogel paint, with a proposition to open up the McDonald Cabinetry & Decorating store.
Selling and installing cabinets out of the house for two years to prepare the store, Steve and Sue worked to prepare the shop for the public. In June of '95, the McDonald Cabinetry & Decorating store was established. Sue then purchased the store from Steve and since then, the store has serviced the Thunder Bay area and beyond with high quality products and installation services.
